Thanks for checking in
Now Playing: Golf Channel : "The Daly PLanet"
Great to hear from you, C.J. and thanks for leaving me a message on the fridge. I am starting to pull my notes and ideas together for a new recording. Over Christmas, I was able to spend a good, long day with my favorite friends and musicians. It was very invigorating and my new 1995 Telecaster sounded really smooth and mellow.
There's nothing like meeting up with old friends to get the enthusiasm going !
They all said my voice still sounded great...
I really need to find members of the band I had for a while with the original members of the group "The Lemonpipers"...remember the hit song "Green Tamborine" ? We called ourselves "Slipstream". If anyone knows how to get in touch with them please let me know. I think they're still in Ohio.

Have a safe St. Pat's. There's going to be a lot of bobbin' and weavin' on the roads,
;) M

What Am I Reading These Days ?
P. Friar (pheloniusfriar@livejournal.com) has replied to your 'What Am I Reading These Days ?' post on Meg's Cool Cat Blog.

Their Comment :
I have been thinking about you recently and was just telling a friend (in Vancouver, BC) about your music and decided to visit your web site, which I haven't been to in quite a while. When I stumbled upon your blog, I thought I would say hello.

Hello! :)

FYI, we don't know each other, but I had a brief email exchange with you a couple of years back (Sep/Oct 2002) when I found out that you had CDs for sale with some songs on it that I'd been looking for for decades (that I'd listened to at friends' houses, but despaired of ever finding copies of for myself). I was in Canada at the time; but I've since moved to North Carolina (Oct. 2003) for work. We still listen to, and very much enjoy the CD.

The book by Jim Al-Khalili looks interesting (and now that I look on Amazon, his other books look interesting too), I'm always looking for good books on the topic :). Thanks for the tip.

P.S. Spongebob rocks!

Now Playing: Spongebob Episode "Krusty Krab Training Video"
Because of problems that affect my Vision (some days are more blurred than others) and Brain Power (some days are more 'dense' than others...and I'm talking Homer Simpson 'dense' here...)I have to start and stop my reading. I usually have to switch over to listening to books when I don't see well and, if my thinking takes a nose-dive, I either switch to books with lots of illustrations or I just put everything down and watch several hours of Spongebob Squarepants cartoons until my brain cells start talking to each other again.
Here's what I'm reading now :
1. "2006 Passport to World Band Radio"
2. "No Plot ? No Problem !" by Chris Baty
3. "Quantum : A Guide for the Perplexed" by Jim Al-Khalili. This book has great illustrations ! Perhaps I'll pick up quantum mechanics just by looking at the pictures.
Hope springs eternal.

Hello and Welcome !
Mood:  happy
Meg Here.
I'm getting started here and I'll be putting in all sorts of things as we go along. This fridge is nice and friendly and there's plenty of room inside. Photos, art and fun will abound and I hope this blog-thing will keep me in closer contact with everyone trying to reach me.
It's 3 AM now so I think I'll grab a snack and hit the sack :)
